One of The Coldest Planets of Our Solar System

My hypothesis was correct, Uranus is colder than Earth. Along with being called a gas giant, Uranus has earned the title “ice giant” for having the coldest atmosphere in all of the solar system, because it is mainly composed of Hydrogen and helium. With a temperature of 49K (kelvin) or -224.2 degrees Celsius Uranus is a lot colder than Earth, with a temperature of 15 degrees Celsius or 288K. Earth is the third planet from the sun, Uranus is the seventh which is a lot farther away. Uranus’ distance from the sun is nineteen times earth’s distance from the sun, meaning it takes longer for the sun’s rays to travel to Uranus than Earth. By the time the sunlight has reached Uranus, much of its heat is lost.
